NPP Chairmanship Race: Daavi Ama Takes First Place On The Ballot Paper

Former National Treasurer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Madam Gifty Ama Asantewaa Ayeh, alias “Daavi Ama”, the only female contesting with seven other aspirants for the position of National Chairman of the governing party is number one on the ballot paper.

The former National Treasurer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Madam Gifty Ama Asantewaa Ayeh, alias “Daavi Ama, will be on top of the ballot paper for the chairmanship position in the upcoming NPP internal elections.

Gifty Ama Asantewa Ayeh will be contesting with Mr Stephen Asamoah-Boateng, Joseph AyikoiOtoo, Prof. Ameyaw Akumfi, Stephen AyesuNtim, George Kwabena Abankwa Yeboah, Akwasi Osei Adjei, and Sammy Crabbe for the chairmanship position.

As the sole female candidate for the NPP Chairmanship, she will rely on her expertise and the influence she has accumulated over the years to persuade delegates to vote for her. She believes she has a strategic advantage over all of the male competitors.
The procedure took place on Monday, June 27, 2022, at the Party’s headquarters in Accra, and was overseen by the Electoral Commission.
Daavi Ama, a prominent advocate for women’s empowerment, is pushing ruling party delegates to vote for her as the first female National Chairman in order to transform the NPP into a powerful electoral force capable of breaking the country’s eight-year power cycle.

Daavi Ama worked diligently under the previous chairman, I studied them, and I believe they made it because of teamwork, tolerance, and having a listening ear.”
